beadyeyedbrat Cigarette Box Storage

These boxes are such a good size that I kept several around waiting

for a good use for them. When I noticed that many of my small

bottles of inks dyes and paints would fit, it was time to use them.

This is a simple storage system that will eventually be hung

on a wall, but for now will be free standing. If it works.

May/June 2008

All of the tops and tabs were removed and saved for

use in construction, then the boxes taped together.

Three boxes taped together

The other side. The strips across the bottom were part of the tabs I cut off.
5 layers of strips, a coat of gesso and acrylic paint. You never know how many little bottles you have until you start gathering them.

Second Set

July 2008

This one is more ambitious; twice as wide and 5 rows high. Here are three of the rows. I have to empty 4 more boxes to finish it. Every other row will have the center bar for a little more support.

The back. Before it's all done, this project will be taped much more than it is now.
All done with the Pearl Ex inside. A few are being used so are MIA.
