This
picture shows why it's called the Death Bunny. A
combination of the Death Star and a bunny rabbit. The
"ears" are from the plastic trash bag that is keeping
the paper lantern in shape.

It started with a
paper lantern T had found on sale for $1. He brought it
home for me to make a spider. I saw it and thought Giant
Jack O' Lantern! The measurements are 15" x 17"
I couldn't figure
out how to add legs since it was pretty fragile, so JOL
it will be. In
fact, I was afraid that when it got wet, it would fall
apart. The wires running round it kept it together. He
put in a kitchen trash bag and stuffed it with
newspaper. I took it out to the table on the porch and
started stripping it.
At
this point I needed to hang it up to work with it so I
threaded some twine through the two small rings built
into the wire frame and hung it from a support beam.
Believe it or not it's daytime.
The flash is working overtime.
Yes that's my chubby
self working on it. It's still daytime, about 4 pm PT.
Once the bottom starts to curve under, the strips
started to hang off the bottom. Pasting them back on
didn't always work. Whether I want to stop now, I will
be sorry, so I must continue.

See the ring on the
bottom? That part is open and won't be covered so the
light can go inside there. Beats having to bore a hole
in the back.
Putting the last
strips on. Going to let this dry til tomorrow since it's
all so wet and fragile. This is the larges project I've
worked on to date.
Next morning, one of my spiders came
to check it out.
You can see the paper shrunk (shrank?) closely
to the wire structure.
I have yet to decide whether to let
them stay or try to
