Peppers Planted April 22
All peppers came from
"Pepper Joe" Arditi |
 |
Most of the plants are here, along
with ferns and spider plants.
Peppers are Early Jalapeno, Long Red
Slim, Sweet Crimson, Hot Banana, Serrano and Ancho/Poblano |
|
|
|

The signs were made on the puter
using PJ's illustrations.
Coffee cans are mostly for
sprouting, but smaller pepper plants may live
there, at least for the first year.
Trading/gifting will be done with Michelle
and Delpha, maybe others. Depends on
how many keepers we get.
SPROUTAGE!
May 6

Long Red Slim and Sweet Crimson are
first to appear. |

Thomas'
Asparagus

We picked up the crowns from Lowe's
in the middle of April. They look
like something you'd see in a Harry
Potter class! Anyway, this spear
appeared on May 5. Isn't it cute?
Probably about 2" high, so we may
have missed it a few days ago?

Progress
|
|
Only
one marigold so far. Planted to help keep bugs away.
|

The first asparagus shoot
is branching out and the second one
has appeared. There are male and female plants, but I have no idea which is which
and who these may be.
|
|

These are Sweet Crimson peppers.
Seeing signs of life from Serranos
and a couple of Early Jalapenos too.
Only 2 pots left with no sprouts. |

Life Interrupted
I fell and broke my ankle! 10
days later I had surgery, then we, and the garden,
moved to our new place. We're in a
very nice mobile home park that they all seem to love.
These pictures are from mid-June to
mid-August, when I was brave enough to hobble around
and do some watering and harvesting.
