Garland

Something new. This garland is made with Kato Polyclay, Repel Gel and colored liquid clay. The colored liquid is a product that I'm testing and isn't available to the public as of September 2006. The stencils came from Michaels craft store and was about $1for each pack of 6. (They are made of a thin black plastic that doesn't react with the clay and can be run through the pasta machine with the clay (carefully) The edges are torn and rough by design.

When you mix the Repel Gel with liquid clay, it bubbles up. My experiments have shown different textures that you can get by doing this. If you mix a lot of RG directly into the liquid, you get a frothy look. If you add just a bit, you get bubbly texture. If you mix just a bit into an equal part of liquid, paint it on, then cover with liquid mixed with a tiny bit of RG, you get a nifty raised, more uniform texture. Click on the spider below to see some of the texture.

"Hat" brim is 7" across.  Tip to bottom is 11 3/4".

Top is not attached so lights can be added and changed. The sign over the door still needs a

paint job.

First Skull

My first attempt to sculpt a miniature skull. Thank you to Spooky T for the lesson. He is in no way responsible for my talent or lack thereof. Shown approximately real size. Made with foil core, covered with Sculpey Ultra Light clay, cured, then covered in my own mixture of Fimo Flesh, Kato white and Kato translucent. I finally got to use some of those teensy tools I've been collecting.

Why did the Bride of Frankenstein go on a diet?

So she could keep her ghoulish figure
