Molds |
As I oops, I pass it on, hopefully with my solutions. |

Having a bunch of mother molds can make it difficult to find just one. Or to know just what these blobs will make, so I write a brief description on the side of the mold with colored pencil. Felt pins just get dried up and clogged with plaster dust. One label reads Crates/Barrel
Only pour a small amount of glycerine into the bottle for easier control of drops. Ditto with water.
If you use a yogurt container (well- cleaned) to mix your plaster, you can easily flex the plastic to get the old, dried plaster out. |
Keep your plaster covered and away from your water source! Unless you want to make the container one huge mold. Or just like having hard lumps in your mother molds.
If you cover the wood dams all the way around with masking tape, you can put the hot glue right on the tape. Then you just peel off the tape instead of having to peel the glue off the wood. |
