beadyeyedbrat More Spiders

Nope, these aren't scary. They will be used in the Fall Back Festival the

week after Halloween and the kids coming through don't want to be

scared so they will be more cute than scary. If one gets too scary, well

maybe I'll just have to keep it for myself.

Two balloons, one only partially blown up. The largest one so far. The balloons were taped together at the closure. Since the "head" balloon wasn't blown up all the way, it's pointy. Guess I'll just use that as part of the design.
This is Mr. Lumpy. Two plastic bags full of torn up paper were taped together and covered with strips. The legs are made of strips of toilet paper tubes taped together with paper clips attached with hot melt glue, leaving enough of the wire free to poke into the body. Three layers of strips covered them, then they were taped to the body and covered with hot melt glue. Three layers of strips went over that. Hot melt glue on top and bottom of legs and where they met the body. This shows him in the process of getting his pulp coat.

Update. Mr. Lumpy has gone. He turned fuzzy and

mildew-y and I didn't know how to save him.

RIP

The 2-balloon guy has turned into the Banana Spider.
  He has become "Cookie"
