Cheap poker chips stacked and hot-melt-glued together.

Eventually they will be painted gold and silver.

Ze plan is to mold these, then add a few more to each

and make taller stacks for more molds.

First set of stacks. Dollar store poker chips have been

hot glued together, then hot glued to the work area.

03.12.08 We used up the first tube of caulk. Off to get more!
04.21.08

We bought the white stuff instead of the clear. Pooh! Well, there were folks online who said we can use it, just have a different product. So of course I hadda try it. One of the stacks broke off, so I decided to make three molds. It spread a little easier than the clear stuff and seems to be working. We'll know when the unmolding happens.

In 15 minutes, it had set up enough for the second layer.

The bottom part, which will be the part taking a lot of the tugging is looking thin, so I decided to make up another batch and reinforce around it. I'd rather waste a few cents to make another batch than to have to start all over.

It's about midnight, so about 2 am I'll mix and pour the plaster. Hope I remember to trim the things.

04.22.08 around 2 pm

Apparent success! Nope, I didn't remember to trim and had to have help getting them out. Next to mix up some more plaster and see how it works.

Stay tuned. Same brat-time. Same brat-channel.
