Welcome

The pattern is actually for a JOL, but it works here. Made like the Transylvania sign.

Transylvania

Printed out the words on the printer on two pages. The mileage is accurate based on a map to a church or a castle (don't remember). Pasted paper on four thicknesses of pasted paper. When it was dry, I tore all the loose edges. Applied off-white pulp around letters and grey mixed with off-white around that. Let dry, then did other side.

Skull

1. I covered half of a foam skull with plastic wrap and taped it together. Then I put 4 layers of newspaper strips over it and let dry.  Next day, 4 more layers, dried and a final 4 layers. 12 layers of newspaper was pasted together and dried while awaiting the skull. Masking tape connected skull to sign and white drawing paper strips were glued over the tape all around the skull.

2. All has dried and a layer of white strips all over the background. That dried and white went on the back.

3. After it all dried, more paper was added to strengthen and cover any missed areas.

4. The words Haunt Space .com were printed on three sheets on the printer and pasted on. White pulp was added around the letters to meld it all together. The whole front was pulped once that was dry.

5. Orange and black acrylic perked up the letters and made them stand out better. A coat of acrylic sealer went over the whole thing. A battery operated tea light fits into the jaw.

note: this sign was made as part of a secret project as a gift to the owner of hauntspace.com

Rue Morgue

A slab of about 20 pages pasted together and dried. "Rue Morgue" and an arrow penciled in. Built up with pulp, mixture of white paper and newsprint.

Rue Morgue has crashed. It got bumped and abused and finally cracked. Oh well. Didn't like it that much anyway.

This Way Out

Or in, depending on what I need it for...eventually. So maybe it's not anatomically correct, but it's my first try.
