beadyeyedbrat Haunting the Porch 2008

I could only hold off until September 2nd. Some of the

pieces were already out there drying anyway...

Ima Ghoul Tombstone and Banzai! the Simple Screamer

Two pumpkins, a crow and the tomato cage tree

There are three tombstones here but you can only see two of them. The one on the bottom

is a skeletal arm.

September 21

Seven of these are artificial pumpkins from the store. Most of the rest are papier mache I

made this year. The two little ones in front are real ones I grew in a container. The tower has center pole and the JOLs were formed around it. It's my first attempt at a JOL totem pole.

A close up of the scene on the left. You can

tell which ones are the store pumpkins since

they're all pretty uniform in color and shape.

My papier mache pumpkins are all shapes,

sizes and colors.

I grew these!

All I got off the vine due to mildew that is running

rampant throughout the complex. But I loves these.

This pic is full size

On the east side of the porch is the graveyard. The little black tombstones are from the dollar store and have been dry brushed with grey paint to highlight detail. Two others are premade ones that we won in a raffle. The other 7 were made by me out of papier mache. Largest one has LED lights made by Thomas. The papier mache "rock" in front of the RIP tombstone has an LED setup inside.

We want to hang JOL's over the rail that spell out "Happy Hallowee" but couldn't find hangers that just hung over the rail. They all needed to be screwed in. That's agains the HOA rules, so we got out those coat hangers and made our own. This is upside down btw.

Here they all are. Thomas made an ingenious hanger

for the inside that holds the battery-operated

flicker candle.
