| Snowflake Cane # 3 | |
| It took me about 6 hours from start to finish to make this cane. Mostly it took so long because of my carpal tunnel; I had to keep resting my hands. Also, I was making it up as I went along. |

1. Roll out a slab of clay on
the #1 section on your pasta machine and trim it into a rectangle. Roll
out small snakes and lay them on the sides of the slab, alternating them.
When you look at the cross-section, blue will be opposite blue, and white
opposite white.

Add a second row of logs on both sides, but not on the top row. Blue-white-blue-white-blue. |

Add another row of logs, but only to the bottom row. Blue-white-blue. |

Pinch the top slightly to make a triangle. Add a strip of white on top, then a small log of white. Roughly shape into a triangle. |

Cover with a sheet of blue and smooth log into a triangle. |

Begin adding slabs of blue until you have a rectangle. |

Add logs to the bottom, sides and top to make a triangle. |

Shape into final triangle, adding small logs as necessary. |
