Hint:Helpful Hint for Stars:
I was trying to make some American flag pins last night and had had no luck buying the star cutter I needed in such a small size around here. I had bought a hole punch in the size I needed..........didn't work at all; the clay stuck and was just a mess.  Then I got the bright idea to bake my white clay for 10 min or so then punch out the stars and use them...works perfectly!!
So I baked a sheet  (on the thinnest setting on the pasta machine) and punched out a whole lot of them; the clay breaks sometimes but the stars fall into the lip below, and you just empty it.........perfect stars for a flag! I hope someone else can use this idea as well!

NEW in 2005! My Halloween Pages. Clay and not-clay.

Wearable Halloween Horns
  (making clear mud)

Get an inexpensive plastic headband that fitgs snugly but not so tight that it will produce headache by end of event.
Make horns of approximate appropriate size. Don headband. Have assistant hold horns on the headband on your head while you check for accuracy. Wipe spit coffee off mirror, pick clay up off floor and reshape.
Once horns are shaped, insert wire (long enough to wrap many times round headband) into center and bake. If desired, roll in glitter or sparkly powder first.
When baked, allow to cool (important step). Repeat checking in mirror for position, omitting messy part. Bend wire so it's parallel with bottom of horn, with left horn sticking out to the right, right sticking out to left.
One at a time, super glue horns to headband. DO NOT do this while band is on head unless you are bald. Wrap wires around headband and super glue ends. Let dry for 10 minutes. Try on, check and super glue as needed to maintain erectness. I mean, so they stand up straight. Curse, remove glued fingers from horny headband.
You can arrange your hair to cover headband or cover headband with fabric to match costume as you wish.
DO NOT wipe eyes at any time during procedure to avoid becoming one-eyed devil/demon/vampire/whatever.
